Conference 2015

More than 200 people attended the 2015 National conference which took place on March 25 at The Royal Conservatory in Toronto. The event was hosted by the UNESCO Chair in Arts and Learning and The Royal Conservatory of Music, and celebrated the 20th anniversary of Learning Through the Arts (LTTA).

Celebrated speakers and panelists presented and took part in the conference, including Canadian Tenor Ben Heppner, who emceed the event, and comedian Mary Walsh who was the keynote speaker.

The conference was the year's central opportunity to gather all those that support arts and learning to debate key issues, learn about and share research, and discover inspiring new ways that the benefits of the arts are being applied across many sectors of society. The day-long program delved into the critical theme of engagement, and featured dynamic speakers and presenters from the arts, business, academic and media worlds, as well as incredible live performances, and a Gala Tribute dinner to recognize the outstanding contribution of Peter Herrndorf O.C., President and CEO of the National Arts Centre for his exceptional work to support the arts and arts education.
