Glass Buffalo is a literary magazine in search of mythic power. We’re collecting the words and stories of emerging writers at the University of Alberta in order to cultivate a creative literary community.
Our 2019 writing contests are now open! All writers who are residents of Canada are welcome to submit their best piece of short fiction and poetry to be considered by our accomplished judges for the chance to win a $500 prize.
2019 Short Fiction Contest
This year's Short Fiction Prize will be awarded to the best story under 750 words submitted by a resident of Canada. If you have a powerful story that fits the bill, submit today!
Prize: $500 and publication in our Fall 2019 issue
Entry fee: $30 (includes a one-year subscription or extension to Glass Buffalo)
