NIA Centre for the Arts

Nia Centre for the Arts is a charitable organization that showcases and promotes arts from the African-Diaspora. We offer programs in music, photography, literature, the visual arts, theatre and interdisciplinary arts.
‘Nia’ is a Swahili word that means purpose and the organization supports people who have found their purpose in art. We create spaces to support young people and emerging artists to hone their artistic talents, prepare them for jobs in the creative sector and enhance their capacity for entrepreneurship.
