Julio Munhoz

Julio Munhoz is a film producer/director and music composer with a keen interest in narrative, documentary, experimental, music and art films. He lives in Edmonton, Canada.
Julio studied film at FAAP University, São Paulo, physics and geography at UFRGS University, Brazil, and holds a BGS - Arts and Sciences through Athabasca University, Canada.
In film he has written and directed documentary, animation, drama, and corporate films, some of which have been awarded and exhibited in film festivals such as Gramado Film Festival (Brazil), Amiens Film Festival (France), Faro Film Festival (Portugal), and Tokyo Video Festival (Japan).
In music he has been dedicating time to composing pop, experimental and incidental music. In 2015 he released his first instrumental album “Dreaming Sounds”, and in 2017 he released the world music album “A Cor Dar” with composer and singer Giovana Bervian. He also composes music scores for films and videos, some of them selected to film festivals and aired on Canadian television.
