Restoring the Balance through the Healing Arts from an Anishnaabe Worldview is an exciting collaboration with Manitoulin Island’s Sophie Pheasant, traditional dancer and arts and culture facilitator, as well as Grandmother and beloved art therapist and teacher, Linda Manitowabi. We welcome to our team CREATE trained Indigenous Expressive Arts Therapists Valerey Lavergne and Alana McLeod, who bring many years of experience working to decolonize expressive arts therapy, as well as academic, artist and Water Walker, Tasha Beeds, and acclaimed Spoken Word artist Zoey Roy. Indigenous Program Lead, Fyre Jean Graveline, will feature several classes inspiring social action and awakening ancestral resilience through the eco-arts. We are thrilled to also offer our first class sharing the spirit of Anshnaabemowin through language and storytelling. Offered on-line, we welcome Indigenous students and committed allies to join us from across Canada. Chi miigwech and hây-hây!
