Western Secondary School is located within the Greater Essex County District School Board in Amherstburg, Ontario. We are a Special Education Highschool with STEPS, Certificate Track (MAPS) and Diploma Track students from all over the county.
We are proud to embed the Arts within our teaching and take every opportunity to celebrate them and the work of our students each year. Visual Arts, Media Arts and Integrated Arts are proud components of our annual performances for the entire Windsor and Essex County community.

Cat's Paw Pottery in the Classroom

We invite Alice Sacharoff from Cat's Paw Pottery to come to teach our students all about pottery, She takes their finished projects home to fire in her kiln, brings them back for glazing and then takes them home a 2nd time for final firing. The students are able to take the finished projects home in a couple of weeks.
