OECD Learning Compass 2030 workshop series

What are student agency and co-agency?

Monday, 8 March 2021, 15:00-16:00 CET

The OECD Learning Compass 2030 defines the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that learners need to fulfil their potential and contribute to the well-being of their communities and the planet now and in the future. This workshop series explores Learning Compass concepts through discussions with stakeholders of the Future of Education and Skills 2030 project.

Join us for our first interactive discussion of the workshop series, hosted by the OECD, where Future of Education and Skills 2030 stakeholders will talk about the concepts of student agency and co-agency, providing real-life examples of agency in action.

Speakers include:

Andria Zafirakou, teacher at Alperton Community School, United Kingdom, and winner of the 2018 Global Teacher Prize

Celina Færch, student from Denmark participating in OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030

Alan Salceda, student from Mexico participating in OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030

Miho Taguma, Senior Analyst and Project Manager, OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030

Moderator:

Kerstin Wilmans, Global Goals Curriculum, Germany, and leader of the Future of Education and Skills 2030 Working Group on engagement and implementation of the Learning Compass

Register here for the workshop on Monday 8 March at 15:00 CET to join the discussion.

You are welcome to share this invitation and registration link with your networks and to those who may be interested in learning more about the OECD Learning Compass 2030.

Future workshop topics include well-being as the goal of the Learning Compass, core foundations, transformative competencies, and the interconnected nature of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. We intend to have one workshop per month, but dates will depend on speakers’ availability.
