The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning

The Tett Centre is a not-for-profit arts organization made up of tenant groups and community members. This historic building is owned by the City of Kingston and operated by our independant charity organization, The Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. It originally formed part of the Morton Brewery and Distillery Company, which was built in the mid-19th century. Learn more the history of The Tett Centre site.

This wonderful building is home to eight arts organizations, eight artists’ studios, and a variety of rental spaces, including the Malting Tower, rehearsal hall, and a community gallery/activity room. It's newest addition is the fully licenced Juniper Cafe with a waterfront patio on the Lakeshore.

The Tett is part of an arts hub that also includes the Queen’s University world class performing arts facility, the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. If you are visiting Kingston, The Tett Centre offers lots of opportunity to enrich yourself in Canadian arts, such as plays, concerts, dance and hands on workshops and classes. We have many visitors and members who join us from nearby places like Inverary, Verona, Seeley's Bay, Mallorytown, Belleville, Odessa and beyond.

The Tett contributes to a vibrant arts community in Kingston by fostering collaboration among the tenant groups and with Queen's University, the Kingston community and beyond. The fully accessible Tett Centre engages and supports artists of all disciplines and levels of expertise. Learn more about the mission of The Tett Centre.
