Lisa M Jones holds an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music from York University. Her studies focused on Contemporary Improvisation and Musicianship as well as Music Education. Lisa’s Pedagogical studies include Orff, Kodaly, Suzuki, Dalcroze Eurythmics, Concert Band, Percussion, Contemporary Improvisation and World Music. Lisa has taught for over 33 years including all ages and abilities. Lisa is a multi instrumentalist including Piano, Trombone, Saxophone, and Djembe. As a Trombonist, she continues to play and perform with the Sound Ideas Big Band, and New Horizons Band of Toronto Big Band 2. Lisa teaches private, group and large workshops. Lisa believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy in music-making and experience all of the benefits it has to offer.
