Reel Youth is a media empowerment project delivering community development programs for youth and adults across Canada and internationally. Through hands-on filmmaking, participants build technical skills, leadership, confidence, resilience, and connections to community resources while telling stories that matter.

Since 2005, our trained artist mentors have supported underserved and marginalized youth—including 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous, newcomer, remote, and socioeconomically marginalized youth—in creating films from concept to completion. Local and virtual screenings amplify their voices and creative vision.

With 2,500+ films produced and 7,300+ participants reached across Canada and internationally, Reel Youth brings proven expertise and meaningful community impact to every workshop. Contact us to bring Reel Youth to your community.
