Created in 1974, Persephone Theatre, a not for profit-registered charity, started out small and has grown into a major force in both the city’s and the region’s theatrical life. Our season now includes six classic and contemporary works from the national and international repertoire in our own theatre under the artistic direction of Del Surjik.
Persephone Theatre’s dedication to presenting professional live productions is reflected by the national recognition it has achieved.

Winter & Spring Classes & Camps

Persephone School of Theatre offers classes and camps for many different age groups. We also provide workshops taught by theatre professions here at Persephone Theatre or on location. New this season we have been offering classes taught from the Legends Centre in Warman Saskatchewan. Our classes serve those looking for evening or weekend options, as well as home schooled students and seniors for our daytime options. We provide one day only experiences on school PD days and week long camps during breaks, as well as summer camps.

We are currently offering a workshop for ages 16+ on podcasting beginning February 11, and looking toward once again offering improvisation classes for women and women identifying with a local comedy improv troupe beginning in April.
