New Brunswick Visual Art Education Association

Visual Art Educators often work in isolation, and as a result require opportunities to share ideas, access teaching resources, and attend professional development sessions.
New Brunswick Visual Art Education Association (NB VAEA) was established in 2002 as a volunteer, non-profit organization to address these needs.
We provide a means for visual art educators to share information, expertise and ideas with others working in a variety of venues including public schools, private institutions, galleries, museums and government programs. Members receive an on-line newsletter which contains news and information on upcoming art workshops, special events and exhibitions.
Our website provides a comprehensive Directory of contacts and teaching resources relevant to visual art and visual art education in the Province of New Brunswick. We are linked to the national organization, the Canadian Society for Education through Art (CSEA).
We offer professional development through workshops and special events for all levels in a variety of venues, including public schools, galleries, and museums throughout the Province.
VAEA’s organizing committee consists of classroom teachers, artists, and arts educators, and is supported by both government and private funding. VAEA actively pursues partnerships with other art related organizations and institutions.
