Bahar Taheri was born in Tehran (Iran) in 1980. Though principally a painter, she also uses different mediums such as video art and installations. She obtained a master’s degree in painting in 2009 from the University of Art Soore in Tehran. She has gained various experiences in Iran and abroad, including solo and group exhibitions, and two artist residencies in Austria and Germany. Since 2014, she lives in Montreal. In 2017, as part of Montreal’s 375th anniversary, she exhibited at “ONE MILLION HORIZONS”. In 2018, she collaborated with the Centre des arts actuels Skol as curator and artist DémART program through the Council des Arts de Montreal. Since June 2018, she has been on the board of the Skol.
