By looking inward, my work explores hidden, silent secrets, finding outward expression for the legacy of physical, sexual, spiritual and emotional trauma. The strength in my recent work lies in the fearless expression and embracement of my own personal truth and darkness. My artwork focusses on bringing darkness to light, to be seen, uncovered, purged. Making aware the many who are invisible and struggling to be heard, my pieces expose social issues in a visceral, raw, uncut, brutal yet sensitive manner using a variety of mediums.
