Alicia Woynarski is a singer with a beautiful warm mezzo-soprano voice and compelling stage presence. “Pretty as a flower, this budding star sings with the power and confidence of a veteran” (Oceanside Star). Her innate musicality has captivated audiences nationally and abroad. “[Director Tatiana] Vasilieva is glowing in her praise of this young mezzo-soprano and one can see why” (Parksville Qualicum Beach News).
Originally from Regina, Alicia completed a Bachelor of Music at University of Western Ontario and graduated from University of British Columbia with a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance.
I have taught people of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced students. I enjoy aiding vocalists in preparation for upcoming performances, music ministry, RCM examinations, local music festivals and master classes. I have taught many different genres of vocal music including classical music, musical theatre, Christian rock, popular music, and standard jazz. I specialize in teaching classical, age appropriate art song, folk song, musical theatre and opera. As a classically trained singer, I teach technique which helps in the improvement of breath support, alignment for superior vocal production, tone quality, lyric diction, interpretation, and much more.
