Our Suzuki community offers an encouraging atmosphere to nurture every child’s full potential and love of music. We provide Suzuki-method music lessons in Ottawa on violin, viola, cello, guitar and flute to children aged 3 to 18. Covid has changed how we interact as a community but has not changed our purpose as a school. Our students are temporarily learning online with their private teachers and spend time with each other at weekly online group classes. School performances are presented online this year. New students have joined our program and have successfully begun their instrument journeys completely online. We look forward meeting in person again but for now our school community continues on in this temporary online world. Music has kept us together while needing to stay apart.

  • Camps

    Our Summer Camp for 5 to 13 year olds runs for one week every summer. Summer Camp is the time to keep musicianship skills fresh, learn new things, have fun and make memories with friends old and new. All students who have had one or more years of music instruction with the Suzuki method are welcome to register. During Camp week we also run a Summer Headstart class for 3 to 4 year olds with 50 minute parent and child classes once per day.

Viva Suzuki: End of Year Celebration Concert

Our school year involves private lessons, group classes, a faculty concert, recitals, school Play In, ensemble concerts, a family and friends concert and a final end of school year celebration concert called Viva Suzuki where all our students perform together.  Every Viva Suzuki has as its grandfinale a full school performance of Twinkle, from youngest to oldest student.  Due to our AD's dedication and willingness to learn new skills we have been able to provide much of our regular programming in an online format and maintain a feeling of being together while apart, so important to our school community.
