EMMEDIA Gallery & Production Society (EMMEDIA) is a Calgary-based charitable non-profit and artist-run organization that supports the full lifecycle of creating media artwork, including its education, production and presentation. Since 1979, EMMEDIA has reduced barriers to creating and presenting media art, supporting artists whose voices have been historically underrepresented, including BIPOC artists, and connecting their work with the diverse communities that make up the historic meeting place that is Calgary/Mohkinstsis. We offer affordable access to media art production tools and facilities, technical support, an array of learning programs and residencies, and a year round schedule of public exhibitions including the PARTICLE+WAVE Media Arts Festival.
