Alberta Dance Theatre isn’t your typical youth arts program. We’re a little bit magical, a little bit messy, and a whole lot creative. Since 1979, we’ve been a place where young people don’t just learn the steps, they help shape them. Dancers in grades 1 to 12 work alongside professional artists to co-create original productions full of imagination, heart, and the occasional villainous plot for world domination. It’s not about being the best – it’s about being yourself. ADT is a space where young artists can be bold, be weird, be thoughtful, be loud, be quiet, and most of all, be part of something. They’re not just dancers; they’re writers, teammates, and leaders in the making. We’re non-competitive, inclusive, and powered by the kind of creative energy that turns big ideas into unforgettable performances. Through dance, theatre, and storytelling, young artists learn to express themselves, lift each other up, and grow in ways that last long after the curtain closes.
Because when you give young people the tools, the trust, and a team that believes in them, they don’t just perform, they shine.
