Cantabile is currently accepting members for the 2020 Virtual Voices Program. Virtual Voices is Cantabile’s hallmark music education program, reimagined to integrate seamlessly into the online learning environment. By moving our programs online, Cantabile works toward creating meaningful musical experiences for our community, using song as a tool to bring people together when so much has been pushing us apart.
What are your options as an emerging artist now that most theatres are closed? Connect with other emerging artists and explore resources for navigating the world of performing arts through this digital salon series. Engage in conversations with established theatre artists who will share their experiences and industry knowledge on topics including festival application processes, opportunities for emerging BIPOC and queer artists, and finding your place in the theatre community.
The world has changed a lot over the past few months, but CAMMAC’s mission remains to provide ways for our members to come together to make music, and to be able to learn from our skilled teaching staff of professional musicians.
We’ve prepared a wide array of courses for you to choose from: private and semi-private classes for all levels of players and singers, workshops, conferences, group classes, masterclasses and more, given by many of your favourite teachers, and some new faces too!
To help local artists during the pandemic, CBC Manitoba is connecting with the arts community this summer to offer online workshops.
Designed to sharpen storytelling skills, these 45-minute sessions will feature tips for building a tech toolkit, monetizing content, brainstorming story ideas for editorial calendars and fashioning stories for different social media platforms.
Workshops are free and open to anyone in Manitoba interested in growing their storytelling skills, and especially for those who are artists or work in the arts community.
Now more than ever dance has an important role to play in our lives, proven to benefit body, mind and soul. This Works & Royal Academy of Dance have collaborated on an eight-week online dance programme, launched Wednesday 1 July, to encourage reconnection with our bodies (and each other), through movement, creativity and self-expression in this ongoing period of uncertainty.
