Art Vancouver brings together both rapidly growing creative talent and renowned international artists under one roof. Western Canada's largest contemporary art fair attracts over 10,000 art lovers annually to the Vancouver Convention Centre. You can look forward to over 1,200 pieces of artwork from 100 local and international galleries and artists. Art Vancouver provides an opportunity to view and purchase artwork from over 20 countries.

Through visual art, multimedia installations, and interactive experiences, join artists and scientists at “Collisions Festival: Invasive Systems” to explore the delicate and complicated nature of how both living and inanimate things redefine our lives and environments. Hosted by Curiosity Collider Art-Science Foundation, this weekend festival includes an art-science exhibition, a hands-on workshop (Sat, separate registration required), and guided discussions and tours by the curator (Sat/Sun).

Art Vancouver has been dedicated to making Vancouver an internationally-renowned arts destination. Each year we hold a multi-day art fair that connects over 100 Canadian and international artists and galleries with more than 10,000 art-lovers, collectors, and buyers from across Canada, and around the globe. At this year’s event (April 2020), local B.C. and Canadian artists will come from the Metro Vancouver region, Vancouver Island, the interior of B.C., Alberta, and Ontario. 

The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival is the global hub for Indigenous-made media arts. Each year, imagineNATIVE presents a selection of film, video, audio, digital media, and exhibitions each created by Indigenous artists from Canada and around the world, in addition to a series of panels and workshops. The Festival is the largest event of its kind in the world and is a leader in supporting and developing Indigenous media arts and in building relationships between communities. A family-friendly celebration of the awesomeness of rhythm in community. Held the Saturday of Labour Day Weekend in our beautiful lakeside park. Features participatory activities for all including drum circles, a parade in the park, music performance, learn and try-it opportunities, drum and craft vendors, food and frolic! 

Admission is by donation. 

Suitable for playwrights, composers or lyricists at all levels.

Authors Peter Fenton and Scott White will be doing an interactive, entertaining, musical and fun 45min reading of their play The Giant's Garden. There will be a short question and answer segment after the reading AND DOOR PRIZES! This presented as part of Eastern Front Theatre's STAGES Theatre Festival. 

The story:

COLD WATERS: Media Arts Symposium & Festival in North Bay, ON happens from June 12-15, 2019. Running simultaneously to the Cold Waters Remote Studio for Northern Ontario artists, the symposium will connect cultural workers with artists from across the region, along with funders, peers, and more. The Sympsium & Festival is facilitated by The Media Arts Network of Ontario / Réseau des arts médiatiques de l’Ontario (MANO/RAMO) and Near North Mobile Media Lab (N2M2L).
