This webinar explores how culture and arts education can foster empathy, ethical awareness, dialogue, and more peaceful futures in times of global uncertainty, violence, and displacement. Through personal reflections and panel discussion, participants will consider how art teaching and learning can address human and non-human suffering, cultivate critical awareness of world events, and support more inclusive, caring, and socially engaged communities.

As part of UNESCO Culture and Arts Education Week 2026, IDEA brings together international artists, educators, and theatre practitioners to explore how drama and theatre education can foster peace, empathy, dialogue, sustainability, and democratic engagement.

From Vision to Practice: Implementing the UNESCO Culture and Arts Education Guidelines" is a webinar focused on the newly published Implementation Guidance for the UNESCO Framework for Culture and Arts Education.

The session will explore how the framework can be put into practice across educational contexts to support more holistic, inclusive, creative, and culturally responsive learning through the arts.

Digital Creator North Bay operates as a free, drop-in learning environment for youth aged 11 – 19 to acquire digital media skills. Staffed by artist mentors, the space is equipped to support interest-driven creative activities like 3D Printing, coding, graphic design, animation, videography, digital photography, podcasting and audio recording. Teens can also come in to work on homework, read, paint, draw, collage, or just hang out and play video games with friends! Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 3PM-7PM

Folk Dance in the Park brings thousands of students in Grades 1-3 together to dance in the park and celebrate diverse cultures. This is a student only event.
