Catch up on international developments in Arts and Learning

Join us for a stimulating and informative lunchtime Eduarts Hub in Kingston on Wednesday, March 8, at 11:00 AM in the Vernon Ready Room (A115), Duncan McArthur Hall, Queen’s University (corner of Union Street and Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd.) entitled, “Building Bridges: An international Seminar on Arts Education and Sustainable Development”.

How does arts education fit into global plans for education, culture and sustainable development?  The Canadian Network for Arts and Learning and the UNESCO Chair in Arts and Learning are delighted to present a seminar presentation on this topic with Dr. Ernst Wagner, who is lecturer and Executive Coordinator at the UNESCO Chair in Arts and Culture in Education at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich and graduated with a PhD in art history at Ludwigs-Maximilian-University, Munich. His main research interest is focused on Arts Education and ‘Education for Sustainable Development’ (ESD) in the context of UNESCO.  Dr. Wagner has been a key leader in international research in arts education and is one of the architects of the newly approved UNESCO UNITWIN Network in Arts Education for Sustainable Development.

Following the presentation, we invite you to be our guest for an informal lunch and conversation with Dr. Wagner.
