Art Vancouver has been dedicated to making Vancouver an internationally-renowned arts destination. Each year we hold a multi-day art fair that connects over 100 Canadian and international artists and galleries with more than 10,000 art-lovers, collectors, and buyers from across Canada, and around the globe. At this year’s event (April 2020), local B.C. and Canadian artists will come from the Metro Vancouver region, Vancouver Island, the interior of B.C., Alberta, and Ontario.

On December 4–5, 2019, the Canadian Children’s Museum is holding a Symposium on Family Learning, Inclusion and the Value of Play in Museums at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec.

Visions of Turtle Island includes live singing, dancing, and video and image presentations to help explain the dances and illustrate the cultural experience of First Nations peoples in Canada. It is presented by the Oakville Community Foundation's Community Classroom.

Join Albert Dumont, activist and poet, as he guides you through a First Nations spiritual advisor's perspective on poetry. The goal of the workshop is to help participants understand why poetry is medicine for the spirit and emotional distress. This event is approximately 1 hour long, and is completely free - no tickets required for entry.

The Rozsa Foundation provides professional development for arts managers at all stages. As such, we have added the following online course to our offerings for the first-time, giving arts administrators across Canada an online offering in professional development through partnership with the University of Calgary - Haskayne Executive Education.

Join Expressive Brush Art Studio at the Riverside Library for an exciting watercolour class where children ages 5 and up. Materials are provided and the class is free!

The Art Gallery of Ontario hosts a series of workshops called Writing Explorations that teach participants self-expression in written and visual forms. This session is hosted by Dr. Wendy O'Brien, a Hamilton-based artist educator and philosopher.  Dr. O'brien will work with students as they create writings that reflect their impressions of selected artwork inspired by the exhibition Photography 1920s-1940s: Women in Focus. This workshop is suitable for beginners.

Join artist Katie Lardner in a workshop to create beautiful nature scenes with needle felting! The cost is $20.00-$25.00 with supplies provided and no experience necessary.

Join instructor and contemporary Indigenous artist Holly Pichette for an afternoon of traditional Cree inspired birch back beading! Cost is $30.00 for adults, and $25.00 for students and seniors.
