The Canadian Children's Opera Company is holding the Senior Division Open House on Monday, May 6.

Students in Grade 6 and up are invited to visit our rehearsals and discover opera's unique blend of music, drama, and theatre.

With outstanding musical training and opportunities to perform with the COC and other ensembles, our senior choruses are also just plain fun.

Splash into Spring!  A week-long art camp for kids aged 5 to 10. They will enjoy painting, drawing, collage, mixed media and more, in our friendly, supportive art centre.  Limited enrolment. Register at www.ksoa.info.

Winnipeg Studio Theatre’s Summer StudioWorks Academy was launched in 2004 to provide emerging musical theatre artists an outlet for intensive training. It is a weeklong program which offers classes in acting, singing and dancing with Manitoba's finest instructors.

Walkerville Artists Co-Op is a non profit organization that promotes new and emerging artists in our community. We are presenting our 5th Annual Teen Art Show for teens 13-18 years old. The show will run February 12-16th with a reception on the 16th. Each teen is allowed to submit two pieces of art, which includes original paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and jewellery.

Submission forms and information are available at our website and in the gallery at 1974 Wyandotte St E.

There is no cost for submissions.

Prizes will be awarded at the reception.

The National Ballet of Canada - YOU dance Live Stream

Our goal with the YOU dance Live Stream is to give students across the country an opportunity to participate and be exposed to ballet as an art form through a live-streamed viewing. Now in its 12th season, our live stream programme continues to be a success because of the positive feedback and support from boards, schools, teachers and students throughout Canada. We had over 20,000 students take part in the live stream last year from across Canada, spanning every province and territory.

Our goal with the YOU dance live stream is to give students across the country an opportunity to participate and be exposed to ballet as an art form through a live-streamed viewing. Now in its 12th season, our live stream programme continues to be a success because of the positive feedback and support from boards, schools, teachers and students throughout Canada. We had over 20,000 students take part in the live stream last year from across Canada, spanning every province and territory.

Advanced class in techniques of glass beadmaking, including sculptural forms such as a ladybug, a bumble bee, and a fish. Explore your hot glass sculpting abilities while making wearable artglass creatures in this fun group setting.  All equipment and supplied are provided.  Beads are placed directly into a hot kiln for annealing.

Ballet dancers aged 6 - 18 are invited to audition for the Moscow Ballets' "Great Russian Nutcracker".   The audition director is a member of the ballet company's touring group.  Auditions will be held on September 25th starting at 5:30 pm with registration starting at 4:45 pm.  Dancers must pre-register on line at Nutcracker.com/auditions.  A printed copy of the form must be brought to the audition.
