Interactions with Artists
Many of the artists in attendance at this year's event are fluent in English, and often several other languages. Others may only speak in their mother tongue. Please be patient with artists with limited English and feel free to ask Festival staff if a translator is available. There are many different dialects and languages spoken across Northern Canada, but we will do our best to help make conversations with all artists possible.
Pricing and Buying
The prices that you find on the Gallery floor are the result of careful consideration by experienced art pricers and the artists themselves, and reflect the quality of work, materials used, the reputation of the artist and other qualities. All sales, including orders and commissions, must take place in the Gallery.
Our workshop program is very popular; make sure to sign up in advance to avoid disappointment! Children's Workshops: A parent or guardian is required to register for each child. You are welcome to stay with your child throughout the workshop, but if you can't be with them, please ensure you pick them up promptly after their workshop is done. Please know that our schedule is subject to change at any time.
Please ask permission of the artists in attendance before taking their photograph and respect their wishes if they say no. Professional photographers, including the media, planning to publish their images must check with the Festival Administration for permission. In all cases all final commercial and editorial rights and permission lie with our artists and performers.
