Amy Groening is a Canadian actress from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Amy now splits her time between Toronto ON, Winnipeg MB and Atlantic Canada and has been busy working on numerous feature films and hit television shows.

Her work includes NBC Universal pilot HORIZON with executive producer Gale Anne Hurd of the WALKING DEAD, eOne feature TEEN LUST, a recurring character on CW’s REIGN, a leading role on CW’s comedy BACKPACKERS and most recently a guest star on CBC's MR.D and a supporting on the unreleased feature film SPINSTER starring CHELSEA PERETTI.

Short Film Class

The SHORT FILM CLASS was a project that I created and facilitated at Tantramar Regional High School in Sackville NB in 2017-2018.

Over the course of 12 sessions I went through the entire filmmaking process with 12 selected (via audition) students. Students began by writing their original script in groups, were guided through on-camera acting scene study, behind the scenes organization and planning and completed the project with a full production film shoot. The end product was 4 short films that were entirely written and performed by students that were premiered the films at the schools 'Night of the Arts' for an audience of 200 people!
