  SoundKreations offers a Dance Artists-In-Residency program in the school environment during school instruction time. The programs offered consists of a variety of dance styles including: Hip Hop Step Animation Latin (various styles) African Bollywood SoundKreations programs offer curricular focused professional dance instruction services to schools. Fitting into the school gym schedule, we provide lessons for all grades within the school environment. The average program length is anywhere between 5-10 days however, we have worked with schools for over 30 days. Programs vary in class length 30-60 mins, class size (up to 60 students). We have various program outcomes to demonstrate student learning: Process Focused - Focus on the learning process/no assembly. In Class Performance - Parents are invited to view the last dance class. Day Time Performance - Each dance group presents a 2 minute choreo piece in an assembly performance. Evening Performance - Similar to day time performance however polished for formal presentation. During a SoundKreations residency, students are engaged, physically active, and encouraged to inquire about exciting dance technique. In a safe, creative environment, students develop the fundamental movements techniques and explore various ways of movement . Students connect through: Cultural Appreciation - Learning about different dance styles, music, and people. Community - Reinforced as the students do activities that inspire teamwork, compassion and empathy. Creativity- Expressed through the physical application of the body moving through space in fun and engaging ways. The students are met with attainable challenges, for example learning choreography in a set time and performing in front of an audience. Our dance instructors offer a wealth of professional experience, excitement, professionalism, inspiration and energy. Each professional trained instructor leading a SoundKreations program understands the curricular art and physical education standards and are highly relatable to the students. Instructors offer dance instructions to students at appropriate development and curricular grade levels (K-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12). The specialized choreography is specifically created to target curricular goals and ability for each grade level with entry points for students of all abilities.

MIndfulness through Movement To further integrate Mindful concepts and practices into the classroom setting, to allow students to calm and ground themselves as they pace through the day 4 key elements teachers will bring out of the program: - what is mindfulness and why it is a valuable tool for your students - mindful movement practices - breath/meditation practices - tools to give your students the advantage for a successful day 2. Fundamentals of Dance In this workshop you will learn the five core elements that drive the success of every SoundKreations dance program. These five elements not only apply to dance but it can be applied to various teaching or leadership situations. The ultimate educational goal is to easily implement dance instruction through a mindful physical literacy platform and improve mental and physical health initiatives for your students. We will ultimately re-ignite your fire as a leader, while remembering, your students are looking and counting on you to lead by example. In this workshop, a member of the SoundKreations team will guide you through our proven successful practice and show you physical literacy dance tools that you can apply in your classroom immediately.   Program Outcome 1. Process Focused (No Performance) Students will explore movement and the chosen dance style without preparing for a final performance. No minimum # of sessions Maximum of 60 students/class (1 Instructor) and 75 students/class (2 Instructors w/ extra charge) 30 minutes-1 hour session length (15 minutes sufficient for Kindergarten classes) 2. In-Class Performance Students learn a class routine and share perform, in-class, on their final program day. Parents are welcome to observe the final class. Minimum of 3 sessions per student-group Maximum of 60 students per group (1 Instructor) and 75 students/class (2 Instructors w/ extra charge) - 30 minutes-1 hour session length (15 minutes sufficient for Kindergarten classes) 3. Daytime Performance Students perform their class routine in a school-wide daytime showcase. Everyone is welcome! Minimum of 4 sessions per student group Maximum of 45 students per group (1 Instructor) and 65 students per group (2 Instructors w/ extra charge) 30 minutes-1 hour session length (15 minutes sufficient for Kindergarten classes) 4. Evening Performance Students perform in a formal school-wide evening performance. Everyone is welcome! Minimum of 7 sessions per student group Maximum of 45 students per group (1 Instructor) and 65 students per group (2 Instructors w/ extra charge) 30 minutes-1 hour session length (15 minutes sufficient for Kindergarten classes)
