Jessica McMann

A Cree from Cowessess First Nation in Saskatchewan, Jesse has been hoop dancing for 9 years, and while zhe is known for the dance work, Jesse is also a musician, trained at the University of Calgary and University of Manitoba. Currently Jesse is working on creating a body of work that focuses on the body as a source for creation and relation to the earth. She teaches many workshops in storytelling, powwow, beading and dance within a practice that spans British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. Zhe learns from all cultures and integrates theory, knowledge, practice and ideologies into zer dance.
