Dan Gillies

Dan Gillies is a Freelance Musician, Music Director, Performer & Guitar Instructor who makes his home in Fort McMurray, AB. He released his debut Instrumental Record in the fall of 2014; and produced the theme song, “Alive,” for the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games. Known as an accomplished jazz musician, Dan also works regularly as a country guitarist for a variety of Artists. As a Soloist, Dan Gillies performs at taverns, pubs and festivals in the region - in addition to weddings, ballrooms and ‘black tie’ events. Whatever the gig, Dan’s versatility and accessibility make him a first choice for many event organizers and performing artists! As a Guitar Instructor, Dan has taught private & group lessons for over a decade - in addition to guitar clinics - and he contributes a guitar column for "Canadian Musician Magazine."
