It is WVYB Society's 90th year!
The WVYB is longest standing non-auditioned community youth music program with four Band and three Strings levels. No experience is necessary for beginner band and only a little experience is required for the debut strings program. From our home in the Community Music Hall, West Vancouver Community Centre and online, the WVYB provides excellent music instruction and performance opportunities through highly qualified instructors.

  • In-School Performances

    The WVYB Concert band division annually perform up to eight concert in elementary schools throughout West and North Vancouver. Currently these concerts are not being held and we do look forward to the day when the young musicians will be able to perform for their peers.

  • Performances

    The WVYB typically perform at assorted civil concerts to name a few W.V. Library Music Series, Remembrance Day, Dundarave Festival of Lights, West Vancouver Bridge Festival, and Canada Day. We look forward to doing so again in the future. And currently working on recording and hopefully performing in the Spring the Squamish Symphony with the Eagle Song Dancers.
