Donna Besel

Donna grew up in Whiteshell Provincial Park and now lives on the shores of the Winnipeg River. She loves writing of all kinds and has instructed students of all ages. Her award-winning work has appeared in various publications and on CBC Radio. She has presented at conferences, workshops, libraries, storytelling events, and universities. Lessons from a Nude Man, her first book, garnered two nominations for Manitoba Book awards, a spot on Relit Canada list and fourth place on McNally Robinson Bookstore’s annual bestseller list. Recently, her work won first place in Prairie Fire Magazine's creative nonfiction contest and appeared in their summer issue.
