Melissa Bain (born in Whitehorse, Yukon) is a professional artist currently residing in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.
She is self-taught in the Arts and creates with a Dionysian nature; displaying creative, intuitive power in her work. Melissa paints in various mediums; oil, acrylic & ink on canvas and canvas paper. Her work is versatile in style ranging from realistic wildlife to illustrative abstract-expressionist figuratives, portraits and landscapes. She is most Inspired by the works of Chagall, Picasso, German Expressionist painter Max Beckmann, as well as modern day realist painter Robert Bateman.
Melissa has exhibited her artwork in various Canadian galleries, private shows and retail. Her art work and photography has been licensed commercially allowing for international distribution and recognition of her work. Her works are also found in private collections in Canada and the United States.
