At a very young age, Advait Kolarkar is an accomplishment. He has been called a “prodigy” by The Times of India after his first solo exhibition in 2016. One of the known galleries in Pune, India – Art2Day – took to the task of curating the young lad’s exhibition after observing him for six months.
On the opening day itself, the paintings were met with accolades where media only raved about his style. He has been the subject of several interviews, which give a glimpse into his creative mind, a tryst that began when he was only eight-months-old and his ever flourishing passion. Advait’s paintings have found commercial interest with some buyers including multiple artworks in their collection.
Also, several artists, art lovers and collectors have paid him personal visits at home to observe the wonders of his gestural abstractions. What the future holds remains to be seen.
