Melissa Strachan-Boutin

From a young age, I have always had a love and fascination for nature. The intricacy and complexity of the natural world and the dependent relationship of human life on it's wild environment is a constant source of inspiration for my artistic practice. Most recently I have become fascinated with the correlation between how we treat our resources and how we treat ourselves. The complexity of human systems rivals against the cyclical dualism of nature and as a result has caused separation. With interest in theories of eco-psychology, my work explores relation of human experience to the treatment of nature.
