Catherine Bussiere is a photographer, filmmaker and an instructor. Over the past 12 years she has been producing short videos for various organizations as well as producing personal short productions. In 2016 she released her first feature film, a poetic essay about life, featuring her immediate surroundings and community.
Catherine hosted and coordinated summer film camps for youth for 6 years, facilitated video workshops in several schools in Nova Scotia for the Viewfinder film Festival, was a film mentor in 2017 for the Writing on Fire program. She will soon be working with a group of youth on the North Shore facilitating a Photovoice project about food security.
In the past year Catherine has become the creator of a series of illustrations that can be found on Instagram under the title "thesquarecrow"
