Jenny lives in ROSSLAND, in the West Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia. RED MOUNTAIN is the local (and world renowned) ski area.
"The Great Outdoors" is my Muse. I began painting 20 or so years ago in response to a mid-life crisis...... beginning with watercolour but now work primarily with acrylic. Mountains and flowers were my initial subject of choice; presently I include portraits of wild animals especially BEARS - and historic women mostly mountaineering related...occasionally I paint a Super Hero. With the assistance of many workshops, books and videos - and much experimentation - I am essentially 'self-taught'. I have exhibited in many shows within the West Kootenay and many of my paintings have found homes throughout Canada and the United States - also in Australia and New Zealand."
