Becky McMahon

Painting has been a part of my life for as long as I remember. I was always drawing, painting and trying new mediums. I have worked with many teachers across Canada and painted in oils, acrylics, watercolours, coloured pencil and worked in clay, glass engraving, stained glass and fibre arts.
I finally found my voice in Oriental Brush Painting about 15 years ago. Working with Chinese Ink and watercolours on mulberry paper caught my interest and held it. It challenges me but when I have success with it, I feel I've accomplished a great deal. It is also a bit different from other styles and that appeals to me as well.
Teaching is a way to give others a chance to try Oriental Brush Painting and I learn as much from my student as they learn from me.
