orn in Manitoba and raised in Grande Prairie Alberta, Katherine has always had a long-standing passion for music since starting cello lessons at the age of 4. Katherine recently finished her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in the spring of 2018, with a major in music. She is working towards her ARCT in Cello Performance as she begins an after degree in Education this fall. Katherine has played in the University of Alberta’s Symphony Orchestra and has accompanied the Grande Prairie Boys’ choir, the Richard Eaton Singers and the Madrigal Singers at the UofA. She has had the pleasure of studying with Diana Nuttall, Colin Ryan, and Rafael Hoekman over her cello playing career. Katherine has been teaching for over five years and has worked with students of all ages at a variety of levels. She loves learning more about teaching, music, and the cello.
