Amélie Roberts

Amélie Roberts is a violinist/violist who is passionate about the power of music. An alumna of the Winnipeg Youth Orchestras, Ms. Roberts has performed in the University of Manitoba Symphony Orchestra, as well as in the MUSAIC Chamber Orchestra Without Borders. As a freelance musician, highlights have included collaboration with Canadian singer/songwriter J.P. Hoe, and playing for musical theatre productions in the Manitoba Theatre for Young People pit orchestra. As a teacher, Amélie has taught for Sistema Winnipeg and Suzuki Music Winnipeg. Ms. Roberts is currently a viola performance major at the University of Ottawa studying under the tutelage of Michael van der Sloot. Amélie has studied Suzuki pedagogy with Karen Kimmett and Paule Barselou. When she isn’t practicing, Amélie enjoys cycling along the Rideau Canal, hanging out in coffee shops, and getting lost in a good book.
