Toni Stanick

A member of the Vancouver Opera and Vancouver Film Orchestras, she has held the position of Principal 2nd Violin with the Fryskorkest, in the Netherlands, performed with the VSO and toured with Winnipeg Ballet Orchestra, recorded for film, tv and on disc with artists including Michael Buble, Bryan Adams, and Juno Award Winning, Changing Seasons. Toni has composed works for string orchestra, solo violin and modern dance, including, La Beaute du Diable in which she performed solo, touring across Canada and to the Cannes International Festival of Dance, to critical acclaim.
Her students have won scholarships to Juilliard, Colburn, Shulich, UBC, UVIC and Yale Schools of Music and have been broadcast by the CBC and King FM and are members of the Seoul Philharmonic, the St Louis Symphony and the Vancouver and Victoria Symphonies Her students continue to garner trophies and scholarships. She has adjudicated Festivals throughout Western Canada. In 2010 Toni founded The JOY of MUSIC, a benefit concert showcasing outstanding talent while developing philanthropy in youth. The JOY initiative, with 4 concerts, has raised close to $14,000.00 for research and treatment of childhood cancer.
