Marian Parrott

Marian Parrott runs an active independent piano studio in Calgary, Alberta, teaching students from beginner to diploma level. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Rocky Mountain College, teaching advanced piano, three levels of musicianship, and functional keyboard. She enjoys teaching pedagogy classes in her studio as well.

Marian has an ARCT teachers diploma, ALCM performers, LLCM teachers and an LTCL (Trinity College London). She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1978 with a BEd and taught elementary school until 1984. She is currently the advisor/facilitator of the Piano Pedagogy Group, which is the student teacher group of the Calgary branch of ARMTA. She is a member of the Alberta Piano Teachers Association (APTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
