Born and raised in Coaldale, Alberta, Christine studied piano with Louise Needham at the University of Lethbridge, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree with Great Distinction.

She has taught piano and theory for the University of Lethbridge Conservatory of Music since 1982. Over the last 35 years she has been active as a teacher, accompanist, and church organist. She is currently the president of the Lethbridge Branch of the Alberta Registered Music Teachers' Association and actively promotes opportunities for teachers and students in the community.
