Subjects Taught: Singing, Speech & Drama, Theory
Mezzo-soprano Theresa Thibert is a graduate of the Masters of Music, Performance program at the University of Western Ontario. As a vocal pedagogy specialist, Theresa has written extensively on areas of vocal health and young singers voices. In November 2014, Theresa sang leading roles in Cambrian Players Musical The War Show at the Paramount Theatre. In 2014 Theresa was vocal coach for St.Patrick High School's Wizard of Oz, as well as being in the orchestra pit as production chorus vocalist. This past summer, Theresa was a featured artist for the Bay Street Film Festival's Cabaret on Bay, with music director Danny Johnson. She previously travelled to Italy, performing 3 roles in two Puccini operas, and Mozart's Magic Flute as part of the Academia Europa dell' Opera young artist program. She has appeared as a soloist with the TBSO and Orchestra London Ontario
multiple times. Theresa also holds an Artist Diploma in Opera Performance from the University of Manitoba, and her HBA/BEducation degrees from Lakehead University. In addition to COAA and AEDO summer programs, Theresa has sung roles and scenes at the U of Manitoba Contemporary Opera Lab, and was a member of the U of M's XIE- eXperimental Improv Ensemble and performed electronic music at the Winnipeg Art Gallary.
Theresa has taught voice in Winnipeg, London Ontario and now Thunder Bay, and also has conducted the St.Agnes Youth and Junior Choirs.
