Donna works primarily in watercolour rendering a variety of subjects to give the impression of realism. Recently her stye has evolved to include bright and bold abstract-like designs. A specialty is horse and pet portraits in soft pastels or watercolour.

Since retirement from teaching at Moira Secondary School in 2000, Donna has become a full time artist and painting instructor. Her watercolours have garnered several awards over the years in Quinte area and BAA juried shows. Recently her work has attracted international attention with exhibitions in Europe including being invited to represent Canada at shows in the Louvre in 2013,1014 & 2016. In both 2015 & 2016, Donna was named one of Art Tour International’s Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Art. When not painting, Donna is teaching watercolour classes locally and leading workshops abroad.
