Daniel Fobert

Daniel Fobert (Danny) has always had his hands in the visual arts starting from an early age when he took private art instruction and along with a pretty typical secondary education that led him to a College diploma in Graphic Design at Sheridan College in Oakville.

In 1975 he became involved with Screen Art Products, a Toronto based screen printing company owned by his soon to be mentor Ira Noble. After Ira’s death, Daniel became an co-owner in the company along with his partner Mervin Patey.

Screen Art always had an enviable clientele and over the years thanks to vinyl graphics, screen printing and digital imaging, established itself as one of the go to graphics companies for Historic Wall Paper reproduction, Museum Graphics and International Display and Museum Work. Their customer list is a who’s who of Museums and Display companies.

After almost 40 years in business Daniel and Mervin retired and sold their company to Peter Cheng, an internet phenom, who also loved getting his hands in the visual arts.

For 25 years, Daniel was involved with Artists 25, a non profit artists cooperative in Toronto. It was his wish to always keep his creative spirit alive through all the corporate years.
