I believe that everyone is creative and can learn to draw or paint, and by taking that first class, you are giving yourself permission to rediscover your own creative voice. Since I came to art later in life, I understand the inner dialog that holds us back - and how to quiet it. Therefore, my main focus is art classes for adults and young adults who want to learn how to let their creativity flow. I show every student who comes to me that it’s only their perspective that holds them back.

When I started my art degree, I didn't know how to draw, but I knew I wanted to create. As a multi-media artist, I share what I have learned. I have over 10 years experience teaching beginning drawing and beginning painting in several mediums to the timid beginner as well as the experienced creator. There is so much to share, so I sprinkle drawing and painting lessons with tips on technique, art appreciation, a dash of art history, and lots of encouragement.
