Maxine Heppner

Maxine Heppner, Toronto-based choreographer, cross-disciplinary artist, performer & educator known for her award-winning approaches to performance since the 70’s, teaches & mentors performance, process & integrated voice-movement to all ages all abilities, pros & community players. Her multi heritage & international career in Canada, Europe & Asia has led to her dedication to somatic intelligence as the source of all arts expression & positive human interactions. Maxine founded Claude Watson High School of Performing Arts Dance Dept, Koffler Centre Contemporary dance, has been faculty at York, Concordia, University of Toronto & institutions/companies worldwide. Arts advocate, she co-founded the International Network for Cultural Diversity & the Canadian Alliance Dance of Artists. Across Oceans facilitates collaborative platforms, artists & public, to create across viewpoints, generations, heritages since 1995.
