Dr. Rea Beaumont

Acclaimed pianist and composer Dr. Rea Beaumont has performed throughout North America and Europe, and her recordings are broadcast worldwide. She is an expert on Canadian music and culture who has collaborated with leading Canadian composers, including R. Murray Schafer. Beaumont has a Doctor of Musical Arts, MMus, MusBacEd (Hons), ArtDipMus, ARCT Diploma, RCM Artist Educator Certificate, and postgraduate work in Piano Literature and Pedagogy. She also trained with some of the finest piano pedagogues, including Robert G. Rogers, Anton Kuerti, Robert Silverman, Marek Jablonski, and Menahem Pressler. Beaumont is a frequent guest speaker, adjudicator of national competitions, visiting artist, lecturer, and artist-in-residence at leading national and international educational and arts institutes. in addition to giving concerts, lecture-recitals, workshops, lectures, interviews, and master classes, she teaches intermediate to advanced pianists at her Toronto studio where they develop technical proficiency, musical insight, and skills to perform with confidence.
