Charlie Peters

Charlie is a Saskatoon-based theatre and opera director, actor, lighting designer, playwright, dramaturge, poet, and clown. He has a BFA in Acting from the University of Saskatchewan, significant training from the Manitoulin Conservatory for Creation and Performance, and is the recipient of the Saskatoon and Area Theatre Award for Outstanding Emerging Artist (2013) and Outstanding Lighting Design (2015). His work has been seen on stages across Saskatchewan and Western Canada. He is Founding Director of Embrace Theatre and Artistic Associate with Sum Theatre. Charlie also works as a theatre educator with youth in need, using drama skills to build community, awareness, and self-confidence through active, imaginative learning. www.charliepeters.ca
