Dr. Jeanette Gallant

Dr. Jeanette Gallant is a Canadian musician with over 25 years of diverse experience as a singing teacher, music lecturer, conductor, performer, and administrator in Canada, S.E. Asia, and the United Kingdom. Jeanette has a doctorate from the University of Oxford, and has held positions at the University of Reading (UK), Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts (HKAPA), Red Deer College (Alberta), the University of Windsor (Ontario), and various Oxford Colleges (UK). As a voice teacher, Jeanette specializes in training young voices, teaching vocal physiology, and rehabilitating damaged voices. As an ethnomusicologist, Jeanette has published and presented her work internationally, and has created various teacher-training materials in the field of world music pedagogy.
